We specialize in digital pathology and AI applications on whole slide images. Our team leads significant multi-institutional, government-funded research projects to build expansive pathology datasets vital for AI development and validation. We collaborate with pioneering AI startups for new pathology AI model development, focusing on solving clinical diagnostic challenges. Additionally, we participate in international studies to validate existing pathology AI software and solutions, demonstrating our commitment to advancing healthcare through cutting-edge technology.

Main research projects

Advancing Pathology with Government-Sponsored Projects

Our lab leads pivotal government-funded projects like PROMISE-P and DEEP:CRC, utilizing vast image datasets for AI-driven cancer diagnostics. The CodiPAI - DIP-OPTIMUS initiative and DEEP:URO study exemplify our work in multiorgan AI applications and urine cytology. NIA-STANBAI and NIA-SKIN projects further our reach into GI biopsy analysis and skin pathology with robust funding and large-scale data.
